The Forever Smile Care Plan
All-on-X treatment at our Prairie Village office is performed by Dr. Daniel Rome.
Receiving your replacement teeth is a milestone, not the end of dental care. The Forever Smile Care Plan helps connect professional maintenance with a practical home routine for your implants and restoration.
A follow-up schedule based on your needs
Your team recommends visit intervals after considering the health of your gums, your implant and treatment history, how easily you can clean, and other risks. A familiar six-month interval is not automatically the right schedule for every implant patient.
Tell us if your health, medication list, tobacco use, ability to clean, or bite has changed. Those changes may affect the care you need. If you have new symptoms, contact the office rather than waiting for the next planned visit.
What continuing care may involve
Clean and assess
Professional care uses methods appropriate for the implant surfaces and the replacement teeth. The team checks surrounding tissues and areas that collect plaque or are difficult to reach.
Check fit and function
We review the restoration and its components, chewing contacts, and signs of wear or looseness. Imaging is used when clinically indicated, not simply because every visit must include it.
Make home care workable
Bring the cleaning tools you use and describe any difficult spots. A demonstration can help you choose and use brushes, flossing aids, or an irrigator suited to your restoration.
Different designs need different routines
Deluxe and Transitional fixed teeth
Fixed zirconia and PMMA arches stay attached during daily care. Cleaning must reach beneath the restoration and around the implants—not only the surfaces you see when smiling. Ask your team to demonstrate access and check your technique.
Starter overdentures
A removable overdenture is taken out for cleaning. Care includes the denture, the mouth, and any implant attachments. Follow the instructions for your design; attachment wear and changes in fit may call for service.
Our full-arch comparison explains how fixed teeth, snap-in dentures, and conventional dentures differ. The Care Plan is adapted to your restoration, not a reason to choose one design before an evaluation.
Do not wait on a loose or painful restoration
Call if an implant-supported tooth or arch feels loose, chewing becomes painful, your bite changes, or you notice bleeding or swelling. Do not try to tighten screws, glue a restoration, or repair an attachment yourself.
For trouble breathing or swallowing, rapidly spreading swelling, or another medical emergency, seek immediate emergency medical care. For dental concerns, call (913) 786-4404; the callback form is not an emergency-response service.
Maintenance, fees, and warranty are separate questions
The Forever Smile Care Plan describes continuing care and monitoring. It is not an insurance policy or a promise that every future service is included. Ask which visits and procedures are part of your plan and which would have a separate fee.
Warranty coverage is governed by its written terms. Neither the Care Plan name nor the Forever Smile brand means that implants or replacement teeth cannot fail or that coverage lasts a lifetime. Review your care responsibilities and any coverage conditions before treatment.
Our full-arch financing guide helps you include maintenance in the financial conversation, separate from a lender's payment schedule.
Prepare for your next visit
- Bring your current cleaning tools or a list of the products you use.
- Note changes in comfort, fit, bite, or cleaning access.
- Update your medical history and medication list with the clinical team.
- Ask for a clear next-visit interval and instructions for problems between visits.

Care Plan questions
How often should I schedule implant maintenance?
The recommended interval depends on gum health, cleaning access, implant history, and other individual risks. Your team will discuss a schedule suited to your situation.
Does the Care Plan include every future repair?
No unlimited repair coverage is promised. Ask which services are included, which have separate fees, and how the written warranty applies.
Should I remove my fixed teeth to clean them?
Do not remove or loosen a fixed restoration yourself. Your team can demonstrate cleaning beneath it and explain when professional servicing is needed.
What if my teeth feel loose before my next visit?
Contact the office rather than waiting for a routine visit. Do not try to tighten, glue, or repair an implant restoration yourself.
